Somewhere last christmas, after too much star and tree shaped cookies and chocolates, I lay down and did this drawing in my sketchbook. I just found it again and animated it quite roughly. This is my first gif!
The funny thing though - I really don’t like crisps.

Various water color sketches from my travel in Hungary. If possible I take water from the location itself to make a lasting souvenir of the place.

For example - the impression of Budapest at night is sketched from the Gellért Hill with water from Margaret Island. The holy Mary from the Kis Szent Teréz Bazilika in Keszthely was painted with Balaton water and the spa in Hévíz with thermal water. But not the sulfuric one - that would have been too smelly ^-^

Some sketches I did during my London visit. Well, the first two were made at Munich and Gatwick airport before boarding. On the plane I got bored and started drawing the short bread packaging. ^-^

2 weeks ago I’ve been to London for the once in a life time chance to see Monty Python live. We stayed a couple of days and visited one of my favorite places in London: Garlic and Shots in Soho. My dear friend Lars showed me this tiny metal subculture restaurant / bar years ago. There you get EVERYTHING with garlic. Beer with fresh cut garlic, baked garlic, grilled garlic, fried garlic - it’s garlic heaven! And you finish with a garlic tomato shot - WOHOO spicy! Let’s see if the parsley helps….
Anyway, I could’t help drawing a little drawing of this experience into my scetch book - with a bit of digital rework this is the result.

I wanted to create something sweet and nice - like in the illustrated books from my childhood. So let’s meet the lovely little tea mouse Sarah. She’s just about to have 5 o’clock tea with her chatty girls. Which is ironic because she lives in a tea pot. Don’t forget the sugar and a piece of field fresh strawberry cake.
